How will I know you can help me?
My expertise will give us the best change of treatment for you.
During my time at Leiden University, I worked mostly with expats & international students, meaning that I am comfortable working with people from a wide variety of backgrounds. I was able to help with problems that expats often encounter, such as homesickness, loneliness, & culture shock. I also have experience working with clients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, panic attacks, burn-out, and self-esteem problems.
In my recent work, I have shifted my focus to working with clients experiencing grief or trauma. Whether you’re grieving the death of a loved one or experiencing other personal losses, such as the end of a relationship or being diagnosed with an illness, I’m available to compassionately support you through the stages of grief. I aim to provide a safe space and help you to learn the coping skills that will help you process what you’ve been through and help you to resume your life.
My identities as not only an expat, but also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, mean that I can empathise with the type of problems you might be going through. I feel passionately about working with expats & the LGBTQ+ community, as well as individuals affected by chronic illness & long-term health conditions.
